“It’s great to have a goalkeeper like Igor. All he has to do is start scoring.”– aforementioned Artemy Panarin After the Rangers’ victory over the Carolinas in Game 6 of the series (5: 2). In this game, Artemy managed to score a beautiful goal, interrupting a long series of failures and Igor Shesterkin Reflecting 37 of 39 shots, he became the second star of the match and gave a real match-concert.

Igor clearly showed the difference between a really great goalkeeper in the playoffs and a good goalkeeper who plays to his mood. Russian counterpart Antti Raanta missed several non-hardest goals, including a goal Mikey Zibanejadathrew one shot into the “home” from a rather narrow angle.

In the 23rd minute of the match, Raanta conceded three goals and was replaced by Petr Kochetkov, who managed 10 of the 12 shots.

Will Raanta play from the first minutes of game seven? Give me a day to think. Even if yes, he will play from the first minutes.– Hurricanes’ head coach made a strange comment about the goalkeeper’s play rod Brindamore.

Shesterkin, on the other hand, made some great saves and deprived the Carolinas of a chance to make this game more even. In one of the episodes, he even got a two-minute penalty for fighting in the middle of the guests at his door. Seth Jarvis.

Additionally, Igor has two assists on his account (he participated in Zibanejad’s pass and Philip Chitil’s second goal), which was already his third assist in the playoffs.

History knows only four goalkeepers to score a few points in one game in the Stanley Cup: Pekka Rinne (2017), José Theodore (2004), Tom Barrasso (1993) and Grant Fur (1991).

Some wondered if Igor had lost his composure. On the contrary, I think the harder the situation, the better Shesterkin played.– said NBC Sports columnist Adam Gretz.

“It was necessary to win today and we had a good game. As for the two passes, the guys did everything themselves, I just left the puck to them. Regarding the lift – I got a little excited. I wanted to stop, I went out the door and realized that it didn’t quite work. I came back and the opponent “I collided with a player. He fell to the ground because he was younger than me. If he had been a big man, then nothing would have happened.”Shesterkin said after the game.

Before this game, Panarin had not scored five games in a row and was very happy to pass Kochetkov with a cunning wrist shot at a pretty good distance. Now Hlebushushka has 10 points (4+6) in 13 playoff games.

The Carolinas never lost a series when they were up 3-2. Now the Rangers have a chance to finish this Hurricanes streak, but it will have to be turned upside down in Game 7 in the Hurricanes’ main arena, Raleigh.
