The head coach of the Moscow hockey club CSKA Sergei Fedorov said that many articles about his work are biased and custom-made.
Last season, CSKA, under the leadership of Fedorov, won the Gagarin Cup, beating Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the final series.
– Let’s call a spade a spade – many of these articles were biased, one-sided, somewhere, probably custom-made. But I never proved anything to anyone, except for myself and those people with whom I worked all this time. Maybe the people who wrote all this need to say something. Probably, the authors had reason to doubt my work, based on their experience or lack of it.
For myself, I realized that the rich experience of a hockey player helped me a lot in this situation. I did not have any revanchist moods. I take criticism well. If criticism is reasoned and has a basis, then it only stimulates some work processes. Everything else is a call. In Russia, this is customary, nothing can be done about it.
With the start of the new season, our mistakes and miscalculations will be discussed even more actively, so everything is just beginning. Hockey situation from season to season is rarely the same. We are always waiting for new adventures, new events and even new rivals. Hockey is a sport where solvency, character and skill must be proved not even from game to game, but from shift to shift, – RIA Novosti Sport quotes Fedorov as saying.
