Koshechkin and Maye extended contracts with Metallurg for one year

Goalkeeper Vasily Koshechkin and forward Philippe Maillet have extended their contracts with Metallurg, the press service of the Magnitogorsk team reports.
Hockey players’ agreements are designed for one season.
Last season, 39-year-old Koshechkin played in 14 games in the regular season, scoring 10 victories. In 23 playoff matches, Koshechkin scored 15 victories with the team.
Koshechkin was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the 2022 Gagarin Cup final, in which Magnitogorsk lost to CSKA. Koshechkin previously won the Gagarin Cup in 2014 and 2016.
Maya is 29 years old, last season he took part in 47 games in the regular season, in which he scored 39 points (15 goals + 24 assists). Also on account of the Canadian 23 games in the playoffs and 21 (8+13) points. The 29-year-old striker became the top scorer and assistant in the Gagarin Cup, and also entered the top 5 snipers in the 2021/22 playoffs.
