Moscow Police Completed Investigation of Radulov’s Bank Fraud for 1.5 Billion Rubles

The Moscow police have completed the investigation of a criminal case against top managers of the Transnational Bank, one of the victims of which was the famous Russian hockey player Alexander Radulov, who played in the NHL for Dallas, Kommersant reports.
It is noted that Radulov suffered the maximum damage – about 1.5 billion rubles. According to investigators, a total of 213 million rubles were stolen from the rest of the depositors.
The hockey player, who recently signed a contract with Kazan’s Ak Bars, has been well acquainted with the ex-chairman of the bank’s board of directors, Sergei Kononov, since 2006. In 2008, Kononov persuaded Radulov to open a bank account, which received the player’s salary for almost 8 years. On April 13, 2015, when the bank’s license was revoked, Radulov transferred about $20 million to it.
In October 2018, the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Northern District of Moscow opened a criminal case on fraud on an especially large scale.
At the moment, out of almost 17 billion rubles required by creditors. the deposit insurance agency was able to pay out only about 6 billion rubles. Most likely, Radulov was returned most of the money. So, in a lawsuit filed in March of this year with the Moscow Arbitration Court, he demands to recover about 255 million rubles from Kononov.

After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.
The Finnish team outscored its opponent with 41:7 (an anti-record at the World Championships – six shots per game).

The third day of matches in the elite league of the U-20 World Youth Hockey Championship has started.
The Swedish team, which started the tournament with a difficult victory against Slovakia, defeated the Swiss team with a score of 3-2 today. And again there were difficulties for one of the favorites.
