Forward of the Russian national hockey team and Avangard Arseniy Gritsyuk considers the main disappointments in the 2021/22 season to be the lack of goals in the final of the Olympics with the Finns and in the decisive match of the ¼ finals of the Gagarin Cup with Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
In the final of the Olympic Games, Russia lost to Finland with a score of 1:2. And in the seventh game of the Gagarin Cup with Metallurg, Avangard Omsk missed 4 unanswered goals.
– I do not separate my results from the team results, because everyone does everything to win. Therefore, he was dissatisfied with the fact that in the final of the Olympics he could not score, equalize the score and keep us in the game. I was upset by the defeat from Metallurg in the seventh match of the semifinal series of the Eastern Conference of the Gagarin Cup: we didn’t score a single goal, although there were moments, ”Grytsyuk said in an interview with RT.
Gritsyuk won the Gagarin Cup in 2021 and also won silver at the 2022 Games in Beijing.
