Gritsyuk keeps in touch with New Jersey, but intends to fully work out the contract with Avangard

Forward of the Russian national team and Omsk Avangard, 21-year-old Arseniy Gritsyuk, said that he is in touch with the NHL club New Jersey Devils, but intends to fully work out the contract with the current club.

In 2019, Gritsyuk was selected by New Jersey in the 5th round of the NHL Entry Draft, 129th overall.

— Yes, I am in contact with the scouts who work in Russia, and with the physical training coach. He gives me advice. The same communication was before, when I was just drafting. I’m interested. But there is still a year left under the contract with Avangard, and I am glad to work it out to the fullest, and then we will see, – said Gritsyuk RT.

With Avangard, Gritsyuk won the 2021 Gagarin Cup, and in the season ended, he reached the ¼ finals of the KHL playoffs, where Omsk lost to Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

With the Russian team, Gritsyuk won the silver medal at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
