You can’t compare the performance of Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevsky in the Eastern Conference Finals series with the performance of New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin, three-time world champion Alexei Tereshchenko believes.
On Friday, the Rangers defeated the Lightning 3-2 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals series. Vasilevskiy saved 25 out of 28 shots on goal. The score in the series became 2-0 in favor of the Rangers. Shesterkin, who said before the start of the series that Vasilevsky was the best goalkeeper in the world, said that two victories did not change his mind.
– You can’t say whether Vasilevsky Shesterkin is weaker or not, this is hockey. He has been one of the best goalkeepers in the world for many years. Anything happens. Everyone has bad matches. Does the course of the series depend on Vasilevsky? It depends on the team as a whole,” Tereshchenko said to the “Championship”.
The third match of the confrontation is scheduled for June 5.
