Three-time world champion Alexei Tereshchenko believes that the Tampa Bay Lightning have a better chance of winning the Stanley Cup due to the presence of Russian goaltender Andrei Vasilevsky in the team.
On Saturday, Tampa defeated the Rangers in the sixth game of the semi-final series and advanced to the decisive stage of the NHL playoffs. The Lightning will face the Colorado Avalanche, who beat the Edmonton Oilers.
– Well done guys: Nichushkin, Vasilevsky, Sergachev, Kucherov. And they play at a high level. I wish there were more of our players in the NHL, but, unfortunately, our realities are making themselves felt. I mean hockey education.
There is no favorite in this final. Colorado and Tampa are playing very well. Both teams are balanced. The only thing is that the goalkeepers are stronger in Tampa. With Vasilevsky more chances for the title. But the level of the game “Colorado” is very high, – quotes the words of Tereshchenko “Championship”.
The first leg of the Stanley Cup Final will take place on June 15.
