A Winnipeg brewery has promised former New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz a lifetime free beer if a specialist takes charge of Winnipeg.
In May, the Islanders fired Trotz as head coach.
We thought it would be a fun initiative. We hope that this proposal can bring Trotz here, – quotes the words of the representative of the company James Hofer The Score.
Trotz took charge of the Islanders in the summer of 2018. Under the leadership of the 59-year-old Canadian specialist, the team reached the NHL playoffs three times, reached the Stanley Cup semi-finals twice. In the 2021/22 season, the Islanders were left out of the playoffs. In 2018, Trotz led Washington to win the Stanley Cup.
