Hockey players Knight and Bush signed contracts with Avangard

Avangard Omsk has signed agreements with Canadian striker Korban Knight and American forward Reed Boucher, the press service of the hockey club reports.

The contract with Knight is for two seasons, with Boucher – for one.

Last season, Knight scored 55 points (21 goals + 34 assists) in 60 KHL regular season and playoff games with Avangard.

Boucher previously received a 1-year suspended sentence in the United States with 4 years of probation for a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl in 2011. The hockey player at that time was 17 years old. The American scored 27 (12+15) points in 46 games last season for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

    At the end of game day of the NHL regular season, Carolina defeated the New York Rangers to become the sole leader in the East and sit two points ahead of Detroit with 7 wins in 10 games.

    Another day of play in the elite league of the World Junior Hockey Championship has ended.

    The USA team beat Slovakia with a score of 6:5, with big problems. The host team of the tournament lost 0:2 and 1:3 but managed to come back and win.

    Forward Tomas Hrenko scored a double for the Slovaks, scoring three goals in the last match. And the Americans have a double thank you to James Hagens.

    USA and Sweden are leaders in the group with 9 points.

    In the other group, Canada beat Denmark 9-1, while forward Gavin McKenna is expected to score a hat-trick and become number 1 in the 2026 draft.

    In another match, the Czech Republic defeated Finland 2:1 in overtime.

    Junior World Hockey Championship. A landslide victory for one of the favourites.

    Another match day has started in the elite league of the U-20 World Junior Hockey Championship.

    The Swedish team, one of the favorites, beat Germany with a score of 8:1. This was the team’s third victory after matches against Slovakia and Switzerland.

    Swedish leaders Frondell and Björk scored a double each.

    Sweden is leading the group with 9 points.

    The German team is still scoreless and in last place in the group.
