FHR Championship 3×3 “Liga Stavok City Cup”

On June 25, Balashikha Arena will host a 3v3 hockey tournament among professionals – the FHR 3×3 League of Stakes City Cup Championship. Current KHL and NHL players will take part in the tournament. Among the participants are Nikolai Prokhorkin, Vasily Podkolzin, Sergei Tolchinsky, Nikolai Goldobin, Ivan Prosvetov, Ilya Lyubushkin and other eminent hockey players. The uniqueness of the format lies in the fact that the teams are formed by the participants themselves, and this gives viewers the opportunity to see their favorite players from different clubs and leagues in one team.

The FHR analyzed the results of a recent 3v3 hockey tournament. Taking into account the positive feedback from the participants, sports industry specialists and fans, a decision was made on further steps to develop 3v3 hockey under the auspices of the FHR.

The 3HL Moscow League will be integrated into the competition structure of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation under the XHL brand. 3HL founder Ildar Khalimov will become president of a new organization, the Xtreme Hockey League (XHL), which will officially launch on July 1.

At the first XHL tournament, which was held from June 12 to 14 in Moscow, the concept of teams from Russian cities was presented in order to attract the attention of the whole country, since it is planned to launch a series of similar events in the regions in the future. The Ice Hockey Federation of Russia plans to introduce a new sports discipline “hockey 3×3” as intensively as possible and cover the whole country. This will attract a new audience to hockey.

The FHR also notes the special social significance of the XHL project, which will increase the number of professional hockey players in Russia, increase competition in the competitive process and give players development and new perspectives.

With the growing number of hockey competitions in Russia and the popularity of sports betting, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation plans to create a department to prevent match-fixing. It will monitor the spread of insider information, prevent conflicts of interest and manipulate results. The department will work based on feedback from bookmakers and analysis of games, in case of incidents, it will conduct internal internal investigations.
