Ovechkin signed a contract with Dynamo. Alexander will play for the team this summer!

The famous hockey player will again perform in white and blue colors. But how long will he stay in the capital?

Moscow “Dynamo” played an important role in the fate of Alexander Ovechkin. It was in the “blue and white” that the Russian hockey player began his career. The club gave the player a chance to prove himself at a young age – and a few years later Ovi moved to Washington, where he rose to the status of a world sports legend.

Alexander has repeatedly said that he still hopes to play for his first team someday. But no one thought that the return would happen so soon!

Ovechkin signed a contract with Dynamo and will play for the club this summer. True, the hockey player was still not given the legendary “eight”.

Better than Ronaldo

The press service of football Dynamo recently surprised football fans with the announcement of their match with the team of bloggers Amkal. The game at the club was scheduled for June 25, but details about the upcoming event were not initially reported.

Recently, information has been actively discussed about what Alexander Ovechkin can take in this game. Soon, rumors of negotiations were confirmed by the press service of the Moscow team.

– While this information is being discussed in the club, it is possible, but today, I think, we will be able to tell you more precisely by the end of the day. I know that Alexander has long dreamed of playing for the Dynamo football team, Polina Lysenko, Muscovite press officer, told Match TV.

It is well known that Ovechkin is not only interested in hockey. In particular, the athlete willingly participates in football matches, so he simply could not pass by the offer of his native club. Videos with a hockey player holding a Dynamo T-shirt have already appeared on the network.

The football “white-and-blue”, however, decided to give the legendary player not his favorite “eight”, and not even the number 32, under which he played at the dawn of his football career. The hockey player will go to the match with Amkal with a “troika” on his back.

Dynamo CEO Pavel Pivovarov also approved of Ovechkin’s participation in the game.

– Hockey players often played football, and vice versa, just remember Vsevolod Bobrov, who took part in the legendary English tour. Today we have a chance to get one of the most scoring strikers in world hockey – Alexander has more goals in his account than Cristiano Ronaldo. We hope that in the match against Amkal he will help our team. We wish him good luck, we want to see him on the field and we really hope that this game will be the first for him, but not the last,” Pivovarov told Match TV.

When Alexander the Great will return to Dynamo hockey is still an open question. The player is in no hurry to leave Washington yet. Despite his solid age by hockey standards, Ovechkin continues to ruffle the nerves of overseas goalkeepers with mighty shots from his “own office”. The Russian will definitely spend a few more years with the Capitals: his contract ends only in 2026.

However, Ovechkin has repeatedly admitted that he hopes to return to the Dynamo hockey team in order to end his career in his native team. Given the excellent physical condition of the player, we can safely assume that sooner or later the return will actually happen.
