The “Philadelphia” study the situation with the detention of the goalkeeper Fedotov in St. Petersburg
The Philadelphia Flyers NHL club is investigating the circumstances of the detention of Russian goaltender Ivan Fedotov, who signed a rookie contract with the team in May, club general manager Chuck Fletcher said.
Earlier, the media reported on the detention of 25-year-old Fedotov in St. Petersburg at the request of the military prosecutor’s office, where he is considered an army evader.
“We are aware of these reports and we are investigating the situation. At the moment, we have no other comments,” journalist Jordan Hall quotes Fletcher on Twitter.
On Friday, the hockey player answered a call from a Match TV correspondent, but did not comment on the information about the detention.
Fedotov played for CSKA last season and won the Gagarin Cup with the team.
