“We are flying to Russia to rescue Fedotov.” America stood up for the detained goaltender of the NHL
Fans from the United States are ready to save the future Philadelphia player. Our goalkeepers in America are very much needed!
Russian national team goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov is the most discussed person in hockey right now. The talented hockey player was supposed to move from CSKA to the NHL club this summer, but the military prosecutor’s office prevented the player’s plans. The arrest of the athlete made a lot of noise in the press and social networks – and not only in domestic ones.
Fans from the United States began to seriously worry about the Russian goalkeeper. Philadelphia fans are so outraged by the incident in the capital that they are ready to come to the aid of the player – and even cross the ocean for this!
Our NHL goaltenders are truly worth their weight in gold.
Detained “malicious evader”
Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, for whom the completed season in the KHL became a breakthrough, dreamed of going to America next season. In May of this year, after the end of the contract with CSKA, the hockey player signed an employment agreement with the Philadelphia Flyers team.
For the upcoming season, the player began training in St. Petersburg. In the coming months, he was supposed to join the “pilots” in the United States to get acquainted with teammates and personally demonstrate his skills to the coaching staff.
But all of Fedotov’s plans to leave for the NHL are now in question. On July 1, the goalkeeper was detained right after training. Ivan had problems with the draft board. As it turned out later, the goalkeeper avoided military service for several years.
The hockey player, accompanied by several cars, was taken to the military registration and enlistment office, where another misfortune happened to him. During a conversation with the military against the background of stress, Ivan became ill. The player even had to call an ambulance.
“I hope everything will be fine with Fedotov”
There is no final decision on the fate of the hockey player yet, but this situation has already made a lot of noise in the Russian press. The detention of Fedotov caused a great resonance in American social networks. Philadelphia fans were especially distinguished, hoping that Ivan would help them in the upcoming season:
– Blimey! Flyers goaltender Ivan Fedotov has been detained by Russian authorities on suspicion of evading military service. I wonder if they will put him in a cell next to Brittney Griner? – recalled the case with the American basketball player detained in Russia, the editor of the portal FlyingFishHockey Wayne Fish.
“I’m just terribly ashamed in the situation with Ivan Fedotov, I worry with all my heart for the guy and his family,” said Jamie Baskov, author of the Flyers Nitty Gritty portal.
“I hope that everything will be fine with Ivan Fedotov,” expressed his sympathy to the player @ThatGuy11920.
– What will we Philadelphia fans do to get Ivan Fedotov out of a Russian prison? asked @spookybeez.
— OK, Flyers fans, we’re flying to Russia to rescue Ivan Fedotov. Russian officials are no match for angry Philadelphia fans,” @potnoodlez replied to a previous speaker.
– “Pilots” should use the best special forces in the world to take out Ivan Fedotov. Saving Private Fedotov, – suggested his plan of action @rhysdomer.
– The Russians took one of our hockey players. This is unacceptable. If Ivan Fedotov does not return safe and sound by the next season, we will send our representative,” @PWine_1_1 gave an ultimatum.
– Ivan Fedotov is a citizen of Russia, the “pilots” will have a steep dive this season.
Whatever the future of Ivan Fedotov, it is already clear that in the United States they are waiting with great impatience. The goalkeeper of the national team has every chance of becoming one of the NHL stars along with Vasilevsky and Shesterkin – you just need to solve all problems with the law.
