Ovechkin is out of the top 60 best current players in the NHL
North American sports analyst Chase McCallum compiled his version of the top 100 best current NHL hockey players.
Only one Russian hockey player entered the top ten of the list. Forward “Tampa” Nikita Kucherov takes 6th place in the ranking.
Edmonton captain Connor McDavid topped the list. The top three also included Colorado defender Cale Makar and Toronto forward Oston Matthews.
The top 100 of the ranking also included the Russians Kirill Kaprizov from Minnesota, who occupies the 15th line, Pavel Buchnevich from St. Louis was placed in 39th place, Valery Nichushkin from Colorado – 79th. Captain “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin is listed in 70th place.
