Two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov believes that ex-hockey player Dominik Hasek, who announced that Czech athletes should be legally banned from performing in the Russian Federation, “something happened to his head.”
Hasek on Twitter reacted sharply to the transfer of the Czech striker of Russian origin Dmitry Yashkin to St. Petersburg SKA. The former goalkeeper noted that “the work of a Czech citizen in the Russian Federation is support for the Russian regime and, therefore, a danger to the Czech Republic.”
— I have known Hasek for a long time. I still remember him when he ran after us in Switzerland and at other competitions to get to know each other. He is not only popular in the Czech Republic, he seemed to be going to the president of the hockey federation. He reminds me of a little fascist: “Put everyone, shoot everyone.” It doesn’t matter who agrees or disagrees with him.

“I wanted to sit down at our table and chat with the Russians. It was a long time ago, in the 90s at the Davos Cup. He normally sat with us, but over time, after his illness, something happened to his head. I think if Hasek would have been an active player, he would now sit and be silent. He would have to earn money, that’s all, ”Kozhevnikov said on the air of the program“ There is a theme! ” on the Match TV channel.
Hasek won the Stanley Cup twice with Detroit, and ended his career in Russia, playing for Spartak Moscow in the 2010/11 season. In 1998, he won the Nagano Olympics with the Czech national team.
