Kudashov believes that Fedotov “will not lose his skills” while serving in the army
Dynamo Moscow head coach Alexei Kudashov believes that goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov will not lose his skill level during his military service.
The athlete, who signed a contract with the Philadelphia NHL club, was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of evading military service. He was taken to Severodvinsk, where he is expected to take the military oath in August. Fedotov’s defense filed a complaint with the court to invalidate the decision of the draft board.
– As far as I know, in Severodvinsk there is a hockey team in that part. So even in the worst case, he will not remain without ice. There is a skating rink nearby. Fedotov has a reliable level of skill, he won’t lose it in a year, ”Kudashov said, whose words are quoted by the Match TV website.
The specialist also said that he would like to continue working in the coaching staff of the Russian national team.
– First you need to understand – in which competitions the team will take part. But I personally would like to continue working in the national team,” added Kudashov.
