Russian striker Pavel Buchnevich said he was not offered a contract extension with the New York Rangers when he played for that team.
The Russian has been playing for Saint Louis since the 2021/22 season.
– In the “Rangers” in the last year, the statistics were about a point per game. It is clear that I started to play more in the majority. In St. Louis, we have two equal links in the majority, and in New York, one team played 1:40, then the defense threw the puck out of the zone, you left the bench, 20 seconds remained, and you still have to call into the zone it is necessary … It is not clear how it all happened.
In general, I don’t know. Naturally, with a numerical advantage, it is easier to score effective points, the very fact of being on the ice in the majority contributes to this. Leaving the Rangers? I didn’t receive any offer. And who is there at what level, I do not know. This is all the decision of the managers, – quotes the words of Buchnevich “Championship”.
Buchnevich last season played in 73 matches, in which he scored 76 (30+46) points.
