The return of Kaprizov drove America crazy. Hockey player wants to ban travel to Russia

Minnesota fans have been very worried about the striker this summer. And they can’t get over the stress.

Traditionally, before the start of the NHL regular season, fans are divided into two categories. Some rejoice at the strengthening of the squad and look forward to the new season, while others criticize the leadership and expect the team to fail. Fans of Minnesota did not care about the transfer news this summer – they nervously followed the situation around Kirill Kaprizov.

First, rumors about a fake Russian military ID were discussed in the press, then – the forward’s unsuccessful attempts to get to the USA … But the other day it became known that Kaprizov’s saga had finally ended – he flew to Minnesota.

Now the Americans are rejoicing and asking the club… to ban Kirill from returning home.

The strange story of Kaprizov

After the story with Ivan Fedotov, the Americans began to seriously worry about all the Russians, who had to return to the location of the NHL clubs before the start of the season. But for the time being, there was no particular panic among the fans, since the players did not give good reasons for this.

Everything changed in early July, when rumors surfaced about Kaprizov’s fake military ID. That’s when the Minnesota fans began to fear that they would no longer see the striker in the “savages” jersey. Although Kaprizov’s entourage promptly denied this rumor, saying that the attacker had a study delay and no military ID at all, the fans no longer perceived the new information. The plane with Kaprizov, which landed in the USA, was the only thing that could calm the frightened fans.

And later Cyril disappeared altogether … More precisely, no one knew where the forward was. The Russian media claimed that he went to the United States, while Minnesota denied this fact. The situation made the owner of the club Craig Leipold worried, who could lose his most valuable asset:

“Until he returns to the United States, I will be nervous,” Leipold said of Kaprizov.

It soon became known that Kaprizov had indeed left Russia, but he was not allowed into the United States twice. All because of problems with an American visa, which can only be obtained outside the country. The fact is that many players from Europe spent last season without such a document. The NHL went to meet the players and agreed with the US government on an exception for hockey players. It was planned that during the season the Europeans would have time to complete the necessary documents, but due to the intensive game calendar, this was impossible to do.

Then the hockey players had to spend part of their vacation on this procedure. However, due to the fact that in Russia they stopped issuing American visas, and in Europe there was a sharp increase in demand for this, obtaining the necessary document could take a long time. Therefore, Minnesota has already prepared for the fact that Kaprizov can join the team only at the beginning of the season.

“Dad is at home!”

However, the striker showed the tenacity that is inherent in him on the ice, and still got to Minnesota. The return of Kaprizov delighted all the fans of the “savages” – at least their comments on social networks testify to this:

– Dad is at home! , – DrWolves rejoices

— The fabulous finale of the popular film “Save Private Sniper Kirill Kaprizov,” jokes BradyH4

– I’ll sleep better today. Welcome home, Cyril! — writes JimUnderCover

At the same time, not only fans of Minnesota, but also other clubs, rejoiced at the return of the superstar. It is understandable – in two seasons, Kaprizov became the decoration of the league.

I’m a Montreal fan. I am so relieved and just can’t wait to see him rock the league again,” writes Frank3088

The joy of Minnesota fans can be understood – Kaprizov has become the club’s main hope for a brighter future. And the point is not only in the forward’s high performance, but also in the importance of his goals. Having played just 136 games in the NHL, Kirill can boast of excellent sniper statistics: after throwing the forward, the red light was lit 74 times.

At the same time, Kaprizov often equalized the score, scored in the third period and scored the winning goals – this is about 30% of all Kaprizov’s goals in his NHL career. And many North American experts believe that if the Russian did not play in the KHL, but from the age of 19 he played for the “savages”, he would already be considered a legend of the club.

However, the fans not only shared their joyful emotions, but even built conspiracy theories around the return of Kaprizov. Most of all, the fans were alarmed by the fact that the Russian arrived in Minnesota five weeks earlier than planned. In addition, the Russian tried different ways and routes to get to the United States. And for all this time, none of the Minnesota officials gave clear comments on the situation with the forward.

I can’t wait to hear the full story behind it all. I bet we don’t even know the half! writes iwouldrun500miles

I bet a whole book could be written about this, says _BeerAndCheese_

Now, after the return of Kaprizov, fans are demanding that Minnesota ban the Russian from returning to Russia. Of course, all this is just the humor of the fans, who have been worried about the main star of the team all summer and are now able to finally exhale.
