Toulouse Football Club goalkeeper Mathys Niflore will make his first Ligue 1 start away at Lorient on Saturday, replacing injured first choice Guillaume Restes.

He added that while the 0-1 result was not what the team wanted, he thanked the fans for supporting them until the end. Niflore has represented France across every youth national team level.
Coach Jens Berthel Askou backs young goalkeeper
Toulouse head coach Jens Berthel Askou rejected suggestions that conceding the early goal against Lille would unsettle the young goalkeeper, praising Niflore for his maturity and composure. Speaking on Thursday, the Danish manager said the goal conceded against Lille was unlucky, repeating an assessment he made immediately following the loss.
Berthel Askou highlighted Niflore's self-confidence, noting that he had performed strongly during pre-season training and friendly matches after gaining valuable experience on loan last season.
