Trabzonspor announced the signing of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah on Thursday, August 6, 2026, on a contract valid for two seasons. The forward will receive a salary of 17 million euros, equivalent to about 100 million Brazilian reals, per year.
In a statement sent to the Turkish stock exchange, the club informed that Salah will also receive 20 percent of the revenue generated from sales of licensed products bearing his name. The agreement also includes performance bonuses each season, although Trabzonspor did not disclose the amounts or conditions for those payments.
Departure from Liverpool
Salah left Liverpool at the end of last season following issues with manager Arne Slot. Although his contract ran until June 2027, the Egyptian player chose not to remain with the English team.
During his time with Liverpool, Salah made 442 appearances, scored 257 goals, and provided 120 assists. He won nine titles with the club: one Club World Cup, one Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, two Premier League titles, two English League Cups, one FA Cup, and one Community Shield.
Career history
Salah was developed by Al-Mokawloon in Egypt. He had spells at Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Roma before joining Liverpool during the 2017 season.
