Formula 1: Ferrari truck caught fire on the way to Monza
Ferrari’s unlikely troubles continue outside of the races after one of their trucks caught fire en route to Monza for the upcoming GP.
This year’s Curse of Ferrari isn’t just about the two cars and the strategic choices made by its people. It also extends to other peripherals, even the trucks that carry the equipment!
The vehicle that transported the Scuderia’s engines from Zedfoort to Monza for the upcoming Grand Prix caught fire on Monday night due to overheating of the brakes.
The fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading and limited it to the area around the brakes, so that the truck was not totaled.
It is recalled that last July a Ferrari truck suffered brake failure due to high temperatures en route to the Paul Ricard circuit for the French GP.
