F1 Italian GP: Alonso leaves
Fernando Alonso fell short of his goal of scoring many points at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix. He had scored points in his 10th consecutive Grand Prix and was hoping this would be 11th, but an Alpine problem forced him to park his car in the pits and end the race fighting for 7th. I was forced to
“Is there a problem with the power supply?” the Spaniard asked at the start of the race. “We haven’t seen it,” his engineer replied. But eventually, on lap 32 the pilot Spaniard warned him of the problem and told him he had to go to the pits. So the Asturian got out of the car and left. Alpine’s help against McLaren in the general classification of the World Championship and his battle for fourth place in the Constructors’ World Championship.
