EKO Rally Acropolis: The special routes and the Sunday schedule

THE The fourth and final day of the EKO Rally Acropolis includes three special routes, the repeated “Eleftherochori”, which will also form the final Power Stage. and “Elatia Regini”.

SUNDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2022

ED 14 & 16, ELEFTHEROHORI + WOLF POWER LEVEL

• Length: 16.90km
• Closing time of the route: ED 14 06:05, ED 16 10:15
• First car: ED 14 09:08, ED 16 13:18

DESCRIPTION

A classic Acropolis stage, this year’s second stage (Eleftherochori 2) is also the Wolf Power Stagewhich means that the fastest 5 drivers in it get extra points (5,4,3,2 and 1 respectively). It starts outside of Eleftherochori, climbs relatively quickly to the first lake (which has no water) and then enters the forest in a very narrow section, up to the Drimaia crossroads. From there the road becomes very fast up to the level of the second lake (without water). After about 1.50 km it gets very narrow again.

ACCESS FOR SPECTATORS

The approaches have three classifications according to the difficulty of their road surface. The letter that characterizes them is next to their number in the following text. The properties are:

• S= Soft = IX wagon
• M= Medium = SUV
• H= Hard = 4×4 or Enduro

1 (S): From Lamia towards Athens, on the national road, take the Amfissa-Bralos exit, where there is a toll booth. After 160 m turn right towards Patras-Delphi-Amfissa. After 12.50 km, at the crossroads leading to Eleftherochori, continue straight and after 2.63 km, having turned right, “leave” the right crossroads towards Skamno-Oiti-Pavliani. After 5.60 km turn left towards Livadia. After 2.90 km turn left towards Paleochori. After 800 meters turn right at the crossroads and after 200 meters turn right again. In 400 m, before the cemetery, the surface becomes dirty. After 600 m turn left at the crossroads. At km 1.80 turn right (uphill) and at km 6.0 you reach ED at km 3.90, by the lake.

THE INFORMATION: Park according to the organizer’s instructions so that as many vehicles as possible can be accommodated.

2 (M): From Thermopylae drive towards Anavra. You go through the village and zero in front of the last house at the exit (on the right, with a playground). At km 3.45 (left turn – blue pilgrim) turn right onto the gravel road leading uphill. At 3.20 km turn left and at 1.17 km you reach km 12.93 of the special route.

ED 15, ELATEIA REGINI

• Length: 11.26 km
• Closing time of the route: 07:08
• First car time: 10:11

DESCRIPTION

It starts 2.50 km above the village of Elateia towards Vasilika-Regini. The first 4.50 km are uphill, on relatively good road surface and with several hairpin bends. This section is followed by a very fast 2.0 km descent until it reaches a switchback (left) towards Regini. At 290 meters it goes through water to start the last, very technical downhill section, about 4.6 km long to the finish.

1 (H): From the road that connects Modi to Elateia, turn left at the bus stop and exit. After 1.45 km you will pass the village “Panagitsa”. Go straight ahead (it gets dirty after 480 m) and turn left at the shrine. After 1.37 km turn right at the fork and after 640 m turn right again after exiting a side road also on the right. At km 1.18 you turn right at the “T” and at km 3.35 you reach the 6.92 km of the special route, 290 m after the body of water.

2: If you walk from the village of Elateia towards Vasilika, after about 2.50 km you will reach the beginning of the special route.
