Quartararo visited the worst circuit
MotoGP world championship leader and current world champion Fabio Quartararo of France has admitted that Motorland Aragon is a “difficult circuit”. It’s his fifth time and his first visit at Big Bike. In Race 1 of 2020 he came off pole and he finished 18th, and in Race 2 he was 6th on the grid and he finished 8th. He finished 8th again last year when he qualified 3rd.
“We’ve always been very fast here, but we didn’t get good results in the second half of the race, so it’s important to see how we can get better results this year,” he added.
“We’ll have to see how we can improve in Sector 4 and see how the weekend goes,” Quartararo explained of the track’s most difficult points.
Of the parts tested at the Misano test, the world leader admitted to testing a new chassis. “We’ll see when it’s available, but it’s true that we want to have the 2023 engine this year, but the testing has been very good. Of course it’s possible. In some areas I have a new chassis that I feel has improved and I think I’m going to test it at one of our practices tomorrow to see how it performs.I’m pretty confident with it have.

Quartararo acknowledged the problem with Teruel’s track but clarified: “It’s not a circuit problem, there is acceleration from first to sixth in the last sector and there is quite a bit of resistance in the last corner, but in general I think technically we were pretty quick last year, but now we need to figure out how to reduce the problems during the race.”
