Gino Borsoy appointed as new team manager of Pramac Ducati Racing
Former Italian pilot Gino BorsoyThe right-hand man of Jorge Martinez Asper in the Asper team team for the past 17 years, he will become Pramac Ducati Racing’s new team manager from next season, replacing Claudio Calabresi, who took over from Francesco Guidotti this year. He was then signed by Red Bull KTM Factory.
The news was announced this weekend at the Motorland Aragón paddock, where the 15th stage of the MotoGP World Championship is coming to an end, and was confirmed by Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi of Sky Italia Mike this Friday. Without denying the news, Alcireño-Venetian’s manager answered a question: “But now he is focused on Aspar.” That’s because the Aspar player has to manage his Moto3 title with Izan Guevara and Sergio García battling for the dollar.
This weekend it is expected that the deal with the second Ducati team will be formalized, having been the sporting director of the Asper Racing team in charge of the MotoGP team. Next year, he will manage the team, with Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin remaining and Fonsi Nieto as sporting director.
