“Of course the result is worth it for me.”
French Fabio Quatararothe MotoGP world championship leader was pleased with his classification on this first day of free practice at the Aragon Grand Prix, finishing second behind Ducati’s 2/74 thousand. George Martin, a result of which he joked that it would be worth the race. “Of course I’m worth it,” he said with a smile, noting, “I always want to be first, but this result is also worth it.”
Quartararo doesn’t want to compare himself to other rivals when evaluating Marc Márquez’s performance, saying ‘I’ve never met anyone and it’s better to say you can’t compare him’ was. “It surprises me, it doesn’t surprise me, because we already know what Marc is like.”
“I was very surprised at Misano. After racing the whole weekend at Misano, he was already 0.6 seconds off the lead, but on Thursday when I said I could fight for the win, that was exactly what I was doing. Looks like he said.. on Sunday,” assured the French rider without hesitation.
