Ogier drives final three rallies to help Rovanpera

French Sebastian Ogier The final three rallies of the World Rally Championship (WRC) season, the New Zealand Rally (29 September to 2 October), the RACC Catalunya Rally-Spain (20 September to 23 October) and Japan this week. Rally (November 10-13), as announced on Monday.

“As you know, I really want to go to New Zealand, but the news is that I will also race in Spain and Japan in the last three rounds of the championship.I am very excited about this new challenge.” explained Ogier. The 38-year-old video was posted on his Toyota and his team’s Twitter account.

Ogier, who has won the World Rally Championship eight times, including the final title in 2021, was due to compete in several races this season sharing a GR Yaris Rally 1 with Finn Esapekka Lappi. He has not returned to the WRC since finishing fourth at the Safari Rally in Kenya at the end of June.

With three tests remaining, 21-year-old Finnish driver Kale Rovanpera now replaces Ogier as Toyota’s leader and leads the championship. It’s clear we’ll be back.

Retiring from the WRC, Ogier ventured into endurance racing this year, competing in three events with Richard Mille Racing. LMP2 category.
