Aristotle Racing Team: The university team with its own Formula 1 car
If you are a fan of motorsports and Formula 1 then you should definitely meet the Aristotle Racing Team, the student team that builds its own car and competes internationally.
The Aristotle Racing Team (ART) was founded in 2006 by a small group of students from the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) with the aim of designing, engineering and assembling a fully functional Formula type racing car to compete in each Year at the international competition Formula Student and represents our country on a global level.
More precisely, ART, starting with only 9 members, now consists of 35 students from different faculties of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The team is improving their already built seventh racing car, which will take them to the next competitions.
ART has already won many awards, most recently 2nd place in Business Plan race and 4th place in Skid Pad race at the competitions in Hungary and Czech Republic and ART is ready for this season.
It is noteworthy that in order to achieve its goals, the team looks for and finds various sponsors who support it and, thanks to them, manage to take part every year in the largest international student competition, Formula Student SAE, together with 614 other university teams.
With the slogan “Racing is ART”, the Aristotle Racing Team is prepared for the new racing season with personnel reinforcements and needs the support of everyone. You can meet and see ART’s work at aristotleracing.gr on the team’s various social media.

The Formula Student competition is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). It is a series of international races involving student teams from universities around the world, applying innovative techniques and advanced mechanical analysis to build a high-performance car.
Each year, students build a race car from scratch and test it on the track. ART team members work full-time along with their rigorous academic program to design, sponsor and build it and ultimately compete internationally with other student groups.
The official Formula Student racing year begins in mid-May with the oldest race in Michigan, USA. The Formula Student competition on the legendary Silverstone circuit in Northampton, England marks the start of the European races.

Oscar Piastri has hinted that the McLaren team could make changes to the “Papaya rules” after the winter review.
While Piastri was challenging eventual champion Lando Norris for the title in 2025, he believed he was unfairly influenced by several incidents during the heat of the race.
In Italy, after Norris had a slow wheel change, he was ordered to move the Briton back to second before being allowed to continue the race. Piastri said on the radio that he considered the slow pit stop “part of the race” but complied with the request anyway.
