Williams officially announces farewell to Nicholas Latifi
The Formula 1 team’s move for the 2023 season continues.If AlphaTauri announces the renewal of Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda this Thursday, it will now be his turn. Williams confirmed the departure of Nicholas Latifi on Friday.
“Williams Racing and Nicholas Latifi will bid farewell at the end of the 2022 season.We would like to thank Nicky for his commitment. We wish him all the best for his hard work over the past three years and success in the next step of his career,” the team wrote on its Twitter account.
For that part “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Williams Racing, everyone at the factory and the people I work with on track over the last three years,” said the driver.Proceed to the next chapter of your career with special memories with this highly dedicated team. No one will stop trying until the season is over.”
Latifi made his F1 debut for Williams Racing at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix. And so far, he has competed in 55 Grands Prix and has scored 7 points in the Championship, including his scoring debut at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix.
After Alex Albon confirmed it would continue beyond next year, Williams Racing plans to announce its full driver line-up for 2023 in the coming weeks.
