All Stars Drift Race & All Star Race on the special track at Athens Olympic Stadium.
The track in OAKA, which hosted the very special EKO Rally Acropolis 2022, was remodeled to host the 2022 All Stars Drift Race (drift competition) on Saturday and the All Stars Race (individual time trial) on Sunday.
The All Stars Drift Race 2022 was a great night of Greek Drift. The highlight was of course the grand finale, which took place on Saturday, September 17th. ended an hour before midnight and was enjoyed by around 5,000 spectators in a pandemonium of smoke and endless side slides.
Thanks to the kind concession of the Olympic Stadium by the Deputy Ministry of Sports, OMAE had the pleasure of organizing a rare gathering for drift lovers – and the success of the venture was evident in the driving performances of the protagonists, who pushed the absolute limit from the very first moment as well as the applause and enthusiasm of the spectators.
The big winner of this unforgettable event was Stavros Gryllis driving a Toyota AE86, who defeated Giorgos Lagos driving a BMW E36 in the grand finale of the night. Third on the podium was Christos Handzaras (BMW 3 E36), fourth was Yiannis Lymberis, who had an unlucky moment with Gryllis in his Toyota Starlet in the semifinals.
The top six were closed by Nikos Zachos (BMW 3 E30 FS) and Lambros Petropoulos (Toyota Starlet).
The day started early in the morning with the Free Trials and continued at noon with the Time Trials (single passes). The competitors showed their spirits early on: They entered the asphalt track of the stadium arena hungry and pushed their limits early on – even though there was not the luxury of escape areas, but the challenge of concrete walls.

In the two-man time trial on the tarmac track today, the competitors put on a spectacular show, which was rewarded with applause from the spectators in the OAKA middle section and western horseshoe.
In the individual vehicle classes, Stathis Koukeas won category A with the impressive Ford Fiesta R5, Kostas Korakas with the Mitsubishi Lancer EvoIX category N, Patonidis-Plakoutsis with the Citroen Saxo VTS category E and Panagiotis Parthenis with the Mitsubishi Lancer EvoIX GPX the Formula Saloon class.
In the historic cars, Yannis Katsikas was fastest with a Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000.
