Miller: ‘Everything went better than planned’
Australian person Jack Miller (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) Japanese Grand Prix winner says everything came out after stepping off the podium “Better than expected.”
“I felt stronger all weekend.it was the same yesterday, so I was disappointed to finish in 7th place.”
“I knew from Friday’s session that my pace was good., and I had it again this morning on the hard tyres, so I was able to get back on it quickly. When I took the lead, I knew where I had to push and was able to set a very strong pace,” explained Miller.
As for the tires, like the other riders: “It was a difficult choice because everyone was going on the intermediates, but I went with the hard tires in Wham-up and it felt good right away. I think we did well from start to finish. But the tires had a lot of camber and I couldn’t manage the straights very well.”
“This win was very emotional. I didn’t know I had those feelings inside of me, crying like a baby during the celebratory laps, but at the end, I was running alone, and the only person I could beat was someone you thought. Don’t listen to him too much and don’t make mistakes,” said Jack Miller.
