The brand new Grand Prix, the two returnees, the scrapped GP and some race date changes for the next Formula 1 season.

The record number of 24 Grands Prix is included in the Formula 1 program for 2023. We remind you that 23 races were planned for this year, but since the Russian GP will not take place due to the events in Ukraine, the year will definitely end with 22 Grands Prix.

The new season begins on March 5th with the Bahrain GP and ends on November 26th in Abu Dhabi.

A whole new family doctor

A whole new race is the Las Vegas GP on November 18th, which will even be held on Saturday evening instead of Sunday afternoon. It is the second race in the USA alongside the Texas GP and the penultimate GP on the 2024 calendar.

The two returning GPs and the one who is leaving

Next year, China and Qatar will also return, with the first GP taking place on April 16 and the second on October 8.

With the addition of the three races that did not exist this year (China, Qatar, Las Vegas) and the increase in the program to 24 races, one had to be eliminated: this is the French GP, announced earlier this year by the Race organizers Paul Ricard.

appointment changes

Another important change is the relocation of the Belgian Grand Prix ahead of the summer holidays at the end of July, while the Spa race was traditionally held in late August to early September. His date will be next year’s Dutch GP, which takes place a week before the Italian one.

We also have a change in the Azerbaijan GP, which was postponed earlier in the year (April from June), the Imola GP, which will be held a month later (21 May instead of 24 April this year), in Spain, the was postponed from the end of May to the beginning of June, changing places with the Monaco Grand Prix and the races in Great Britain and Austria, which swapped places with each other.
