Marquez: ‘I want to be up front in Thailand, but that’s not the goal’
Marc Márquez doesn’t want to take on the pressure he knows he shouldn’t have. His only goal should be to continue his recovery on the bike, amass quality mileage, clear his doubts about Honda next year and keep pushing for his highest level of competitiveness. Marc Márquez took pole position in the wet and fourth in the dry in his second GP after returning from four surgeries on his right arm. Now, a week later, Mark has promised not to change his goals, not wanting to raise his expectations.
“My goal for the weekend is to do a full Grand Prix again like in Japan. Of course I want to fight at the top again, but I don’t think it is realistic to set this expectation. Nor is it the goal of , we are ‘here to build,’ Marc Márquez noted in a statement from the Repsol Honda team.
But be careful. One is what to consider first. Another is the opportunities this route gives you. With rain forecast high for Friday and Sunday, it’s not uncommon for Chan to race in the rain at his circuit in Thailand. If so, we know that despite the fact that Marc is fully recovered, the bike is inferior to his rivals and he is still the best in the wet despite being inactive for a long time. Shown in Japan.
If it rains, Cervera’s one should pick everything up.
“I have very good memories of 2018 and 2019, especially my last visit. I am looking forward to seeing the Thai fans again,” concluded the Catalan.
