A few words about the team
The Aristotle Racing Team (ART) is a student research team founded in 2006 by a small group of students from the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the aim of designing, manufacturing and assembling a fully functional formula racing car that takes part in the largest international Formula Student competition every year and represents our country on a global level.
In particular, ART, starting with only 9 members, today has managed to consist of numerous students from different schools of Aristotle and to improve his already built, seventh racing car, which will be the one that will lead him to the competitions. With many awards, most recently 1st and 2nd place in the Skid Pad event at the Czech and Italian competitions, ART is also ready for this year’s racing season.
Formula student organization
Organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Formula Student competition is a series of international competitions involving student teams from universities around the world, using innovative techniques and advanced technical analysis to build a high-performance car. Each year the students build a racing car from scratch and test it on the track. ART team members work alongside their strict academic schedule for a full year to design, find sponsors, build it and eventually compete with other student teams at an international level.
