‘Czech’ Perez races in his native Guadalajara in Mexico GP preview
mexican pilot Red Bull Team’s Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez will be racing in his hometown of Guadalajara.Jalisco state capital before the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Mexico on October 25th.
Perez, who took his fourth F1 victory last Sunday, Germany’s Sebastian Vettel drives the 2011 World Championship-winning RB7 on the so-called ‘Red Bull Show Run’ on Guadalajara’s urban track.
The RB7 also gave Red Bull the Constructors’ Championship thanks to the performances of Vettel and his 2011 teammate Australian Mark Webber.

With four wins in 12 seasons, Perez is the all-time leading Mexican in F1 history, surpassing the two won by the late Pedro Rodríguez, who was with the Great Circus from 1961 to 1971.
The Mexican driver won the Singapore Grand Prix last Sundayreaching 235 points during the season and finishing third in the Drivers’ Championship for the 2022 season.
This year, Perez has had the best season ever with two wins for the first time in his career, winning Monaco and the aforementioned Singapore.
Mexico’s other wins were Azerbaijan in 2021 and Sakhir in 2020.
‘Czech’ Perez will aim to be the first local to compete at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez at the Mexican Grand Prix from October 28-30.
Earlier, Perez has to face the award in Japan, this weekend and in the United States, which runs from October 21-23.
