The Japan GP schedule: see testing, qualifying and race times
From October 7th to 9th is the Japanese Grand Prix, the 18th Formula 1 race of the year. Check out the schedule for Friday’s FP1 and FP2, Saturday’s FP3 and Sunday’s qualifying and race.
This weekend is Formula 1’s 18th race of the season in Japan. At Suzuka, the Honda circuit, Max Verstappen has a chance to mathematically secure the title, something that has happened 11 times at this circuit. Most recently in 2011 with Sebastian Vettel when – what a coincidence – he won his second title with Red Bull.
Max secures the title with the win and the extra point for the fastest lap, no matter where the hopefuls Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez end up, theoretically always.
The three days in Japan begin with free practice on Friday and end with the race on Sunday morning.
Check out the three-day Suzuka Grand Prix program in detail.
