Verstappen: ‘I think about the whole year we had, it was incredible’
In his first statements after winning the championship, Max Verstappen thanked the entire team that helped him win the title.
Max Verstappen was in a sea of elation on his first statements after winning the second consecutive championship in Formula 1.
In detail what he said: “It’s crazy! I have mixed feelings after winning the race now. I think about the whole year we’ve had, it’s been incredible. I couldn’t imagine a year like this after the last year where we fought to the end. And this year we had such a good car again. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this success.
The entire team here, but also everyone at the plant, who give it their all and never lack the motivation to make the car even faster. It’s about the car. But also the work we have done with Honda year after year to constantly improve.
Winning two titles with them brings an emotional charge. Especially here. That put a little more pressure on us, but it was good, positive pressure. I’m very proud that we won the title here“.
