Bagnaia: ‘We were aiming for the front row’
Italian Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP22), Third Above Official classification of the MotoGP Australian Grand Prix “The goal was on the front row,” he said.
“Certainly, since the first start of the second classification, especially in the second classificationlots of riders were chasing me, so I was going to slow down a bit We’ll see if they pull over, but they didn’t, so I had to do it myself. I’m sure
“I think you have to be very intelligent at this circuit.the rear tires aren’t as hot and you have to manage the consumption properly so it should stay constant for the first few laps but a lot of riders from behind will try to push and eventually you’ll end up with more tires Drop it,” Bagnaia assured.
“The rivals are Marc[Marquez]Jorge[Martin]and Fabio[Quartararo]so we have to be smart and think about the end of the race. I don’t think Aleix (Espargaro) is as competitive as they are at the momentBezecchi is strong, but he is a rookie and I think experience will make a difference in tire consumption,” said the Italian driver.
“I’ve tried medium and hard, so I haven’t decided on a choice yet.those who test in the warm-up tomorrow may not even be in the race,” commented ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia.
