Lewis Hamilton: “For a moment I believed I could win the USA race”
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton could have won the US race due to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen error at the pit stop, but the Briton still missed his opponent at the end of the race and finished 2nd.
“It was great to be leading the race again. We had an aggressive strategy that paid off. I’m proud of the team.”
“For a moment I even believed I could beat Verstappen and win the race, but the opponent came out stronger,” said Hamilton.
Hamilton has yet to win this season. This may be the first in his career as a driver to finish without a win.
