Enzo Fittipaldi joins Red Bull Academy
Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi, Grandson of two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldiannounced the signing of the pilot school this Saturday red bull Aiming to realize the “dream” of running in the highest category of motor sports.
“I’m very happy. It’s a great opportunity for me. It’s an honor to be part of the Red Bull family and their driver school.” Enzo Fittipaldi told EFE about the Interlagos circuit, which will host the São Paulo Grand Prix this weekend.
Fittipaldi, 21, embarks on the development of a Red Bull and AlphaTauri F1 car.another team owned by an Austrian company.
He will also have the opportunity to participate in free practice with one of the two teams starting next season.
“I’m working even harder now to realize my dream of racing in Formula 1. It’s always been a dream to race and be a Red Bull driver,” he said.
Compete for the top three in Formula 2
After four years at the Ferrari Academy, Enzo Fittipaldi is Italian F4 champion (2018), regional F3 runner-up and now He is fighting to finish third in his first season in Formula 2 with the final test remaining in Abu Dhabi.
“I’m very happy with my season and let’s see what happens next,” he said proudly.
Enzo is the grandson of Emerson Fittipaldi, who was declared F1 champion with Lotus in 1972 and McLaren Ford in 1974.
Enzo’s grandfather was a Formula Indy champion (1989) and a two-time Indianapolis 500 champion (1989 and 1993).
His brother is Pietro Fittipaldi, currently a reserve driver for the Haas F1 team.
