Hollywood is making a film about Enzo Ferrari

Starring Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari and co-starring Penelope Cruz, the film about the legendary Italian will follow his life during the loss of Dino’s son and his preparation for the 1957 Mile Mile race.

After six years of trying, director Michael Mann (Heat, Miami Vice) is now set to overcome all obstacles in the production of the film, which will focus on Enzo Ferrari, one of the most iconic figures in the history of the car, at his founder’s Maranello-based company.

Set in the summer of 1957, the film focuses on one of the most difficult moments Enzo Ferrari experienced in his life, the loss of his son Alfredo (Dino) and the marital crisis that followed – and while Ferrari was on the brink of financial collapse , and he was preparing prepare for the great challenge of the popular ’57 Mile Mile race.

Information says that Star Wars star Adam Driver, who recently played another famous Italian businessman in the House of Gucci movie, was eventually cast for the role of the Italian. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale have heard of Enzo in the past.

The driver’s co-star will be Penelope Cruz, who will play Enzo Ferrari’s wife Laura, while Shailene Woodley will play the woman the Italian had an extramarital affair with, Lina Lardi.

The screenplay is based on the book “Enzo Ferrari – The Man, the Cars, the Races” by decades-old American Car and Driver author Brock Yeats. Filming for the film is scheduled to begin this spring in the province of Emilia Romagna and, of course, in Modena and Maranello.
