Twice. F1 decides sprint races for 2023
Formula 1 has announced that the 2023 season will double the number of sprint races – they will now be held in six stages.
In the new season, Sprint will be held in Azerbaijan, Belgium, Qatar, USA, Brazil and Austria. There were no more than three sprint races earlier in the season.
The sprint takes place on Saturday, when the drivers cover one-third of a normal race distance and the top 8 drivers score points. The sprint final sets the starting line for Sunday’s standard race.
