Schumacher, 23, son of seven-time Formula 1 champion (Michael), said: “Facing an intense program with the W14 in the simulator, I will not only be with the team in every Grand Prix of 2023, but also fulfill my marketing duties. A fulfilling ‘year,’ said a Mercedes statement.
Mick has led the Haas team for the past two years. He competed in 43 Formula 1 races, scored his first points of the year thanks to an eighth place at the British Grand Prix, and achieved a best result of sixth at the following week’s Austrian Grand Prix.
Before entering F1, he had a brilliant career in the junior category.
Mick joins his father’s team from 2010-2012.
