FIA works to expand F-1 to 12 teams
Mohammed bin Sulayem, president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), admitted that he does not see any ban on increasing the number of participants in the World Championship in Formula 1 to 12. He made this recognition in light of the famous ex-pilot Michael Andretti’s desire to participate in the championship with the Cadillac team.
Ben Sulayem said the FIA’s governing body is open to any team it sees as good enough to compete in Formula 1.
“I see no reason why we shouldn’t welcome new teams, especially the Americans. We welcome any offer to be one of the 12 teams. Bin Sulayem said, “We accept good teams, even if they are small, as in the case of Haas.
