Nikita Mazepin only stayed at HAAS for a year when the American Formula 1 team decided to part ways with him and replace him with Pietro Fitipaldi.

Two weeks before the start of the 2022 championship (March 18-20 in Bahrain), according to the German broadcaster Sky Sport, HAAS F1 has decided to depose Nikita Mazepin and prepare to end cooperation with the Russian company Uralkali because of the World Cup Russian invasion to Ukraine.

According to these media, 25-year-old Brazilian Pietro Fitipaldi will be the one who will replace Mazepin as he is the team’s third driver for two years. He has walked with her twice, in 2020 at Shakhir and 2020 in Abu Dhabi.

As for mazepine? In his one year in Formula 1 he did not show a competitive face, contesting 21 races and managing to finish 21st in a 20-driver championship, behind Robert Koumbitsa, who was just ahead of him with just two appearances. We remind you that earlier in the day, Formula 1 canceled its contract with the Sochi track.
