The new face of the Formula 1 grid
The 2023 Formula 1 season kicks off this weekend and, as usual, the opening event marks the premiere of several names at the Great Circus. The campaign features his three rookies: Oscar Piastri, Logan Sargent, and Nick De Vries. Plus, there’s room for the return of familiar faces, like Nico Hulkenberg.

Oscar Piastri
mclaren
The Australian was the star of one of the most controversial signings in memory. He denied the agreement when Alpine announced it, making it official shortly after arriving on the walking team.
Despite being only 21 years old, Piastri is the Formula 3 and Formula 2 champion. In fact, alongside Leclerc, he is the only one to win a championship for the first time before F1.

Nick Devries
Alpha Tauri
The history of the Dutch is the most interesting. Despite winning lower categories such as F2, he never found a place in F1. He was his test driver for Mercedes while competing in other championships such as Formula E. The opportunity arose to replace Albon at Williams for the final Italian Grand Prix, where he beat Latifi to a stunning result. He scored points and was key for AlphaTauri to fish him out and replace Gasly in him.

Sergeant Logan
Williams
Probably the least known name. His signing formalization came a little later than hoped, as he was still missing some points to get the superlicence, which is essential for the American to reach the highest category. The 22-year-old He comes from Formula 2 and last season he had two wins and he had four podiums.

Williams needs a replacement for Latif, and the decision to step up to Sargent came as a surprise to many. In fact, the team admitted they had a plan B, but it probably consisted of getting the services of Mick Schumacher, who was left without a seat at Sainz.
