Bahrain GP schedule: testing, qualifying and race times
The 2023 Formula 1 Championship begins with the inaugural Bahrain Grand Prix. Check out the schedule for FP1, FP2 and FP3, qualifying and Sunday’s race.
The time has come. The curtain rises on the 2023 Formula 1 Championship this weekend with the first Grand Prix of the year in Bahrain. The winter tests took place at the Sakhir circuit a week earlier so that the teams could gather initial data for their new cars.
The three-day competition starts on Friday afternoon with the first free practice and ends on Sunday afternoon with the race. Check out the detailed program of the first Grand Prix of the season.

Friday March 3rd
- 1.30 – 2.30 p.m.: 1st free practice (FP1)
- 17.00 – 18.00: 2nd free practice (FP2)
Saturday March 4th
- 1.30 – 2.30 p.m.: 3rd free practice (FP2)
- 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Qualifying tests (qualifying)
Sunday March 5th
- 5 p.m.: Race
