Hamilton may leave Mercedes. But he has no other choice.
According to British media, Mercedes Lewis Hamilton’s driver is no longer sure whether it is worth renewing his contract, which expires at the end of the year.
Earlier, both Hamilton and Mercedes said that the new contract was just a formality, but a bad start to the season changed everything. Hamilton criticized the team for a bad car, and Mercedes confirmed that it will try to completely change the design of the car throughout the season.
At the same time, the only goal of 38-year-old Hamilton in Formula 1 remained – a record 8th championship title, but it seems that Mercedes will not fight for championships in the near future.
However, Lewis currently has no special options with other teams, so his future remains uncertain. It is possible that the pilot will end his career after the 2023 season.
