Lewis HAMILTON: “I didn’t choose my words well. I will not leave Mercedes”
Before the start of the second Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season in Saudi Arabia, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton denied that he would leave the team.
And when he accused the team of not listening to his advice after the race in Bahrain, he admitted he was too harsh.
“I don’t intend to leave Mercedes. Maybe if you look back after the Bahrain Grand Prix, I didn’t choose my words in the best way. It’s important to keep communicating within the team even if you disagree with someone. The car that lost time on the straights last season is now losing time in the corners. Of course, you may be shocked when you realize that the car is not exactly what you expected.
“But everyone at Mercedes is working to rectify the situation. “I’m sure a team that has had the best car for many years will never forget how to properly design a car,” said Hamilton.
He also expressed confidence that Red Bull will dominate the season.
